She also has a passion for helping individuals with executive functioning challenges, as this is another area of skill that is essential to achieving any individual goal. She conducts private evaluations for families, as well as independent educational evaluations (IEE’s) for parents/school districts as an outside, objective source of information for the IEP team. Radha has a deep knowledge of the teaching and learning process, having started her career as a classroom secondary teacher, and continuing on as a college/graduate level instructor at UC Santa Barbara, UC Davis, St. Mary’s College of California, and Brandman University. She has an in-depth knowledge of adult learners through this experience, as well as from the over 300+ presentations she has given to adults in the educational field, including teachers, principals, instructional assistants, school psychologists, speech therapists, behaviorists, and school counselors. Radha also has expertise in special education programs, services, and special education law, having served as both a special education principal and a SELPA program specialist for a decade, providing consultation and support to school districts, special education directors, and site staff. Radha has helped to build numerous programs for students with autism, and has deep knowledge about evidenced-based practices for students with autism, having been a part of a state-wide organization designed to disseminate knowledge about such practices to school districts and families. Radha’s extensive experience and expertise in the field of special education sets her apart from other practitioners, as she brings not only the assessment expertise, but also the teaching, legal and programmatic expertise as well.
